Okay, I have an option on my raw land and now have 20 days to get an estimate for installation of septic system. Searching the net came up with some disturbing information ... namely the regulatory nightmare and costs of new septic systems. One engineer I called wanted $1500 upfront, just to look at the property (this was told to me by his secretary and she could not tell me exactly what I would receive for my $1500). Have found a few other websites and made inquiries, but this is looking bad ... really bad. Might cost anywhere from 10 to 30 thousand dollars just to flush my toilet! What a world.
Read through much of the LRCA website info, but did not download the 65 pages of rules and regulations. Surely someone is up on this stuff? Will soon see.
Anyone know of an honest Texas contractor?
All pooped out of looking for poop disposal advice.
Totally and utterly drained - need some Imodium.
