I wonder if they will offer $4 generic mortgages?

Wal-Mart (WMT) has renegotiated leases with banks operating in its stores, giving it the explicit right to offer mortgages, loans and other financial ...

We are filling all our family prescriptions at Wal-Mart for $4. Thankfully we don't need very many, but the cost savings in percentage terms are astounding. We buy almost all our groceries at Wal-Mart Supercenter. Sorry Safeway, Albertsons & Fred Myers...your prices are higher. I guess the union shops are having a hard time competing with a non-union shop. What really strikes me is that the employees at Wal-Mart are more helpful and show a better attitude towards the customer than their competition. But if Wal-Mart opens a bank, I will not switch because the local bank we deal with has extremely friendly and cheerful employees. Even when my check bounces because of my own mistake, the bank reverses the insufficent funds charge when I request it.

I suspect that were WMT in the banking business, you'd not see them involved in any of the sub prime idiocy. They are a tough competitor and I suspect that they'd put a number of third rate banks out of business.

AMEN!

One lady told me the generic drugs they sell for $4 were drugs which don't work.
It's funny how many people hate Wal-mart. Almost like a religious aversion.
So when they shop there they wear a disguise (which Walmart sells).
You've seen 'em in there:
