So who needs food? Let em eat stocks.

I have been watching this market patiently;

The Bear in me has awoken,

The disconnect finally is getting surreal on too many fronts.

The bees are just one. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18442426/

Time to short this market. :bear:

Health & Sanity area is buzzing about bees:

Similar bee deaths have happened in the past. In 1975, honeybees mysteriously died in 26 states, much like today.
Another big loss came about a decade before that

.

Another:

Also on the Internet is a quote attributed to Albert Einstein on how humans would die off in four years if not for honeybees. It's wrong on two counts.

First, Einstein probably never said it, according to Alice Calaprice, author of "The Quotable Einstein" and five other books on the physicist.

"I've never come across it in anything Einstein has written," Calaprice said. "it could be that someone had made it up and put Einstein's name on it."

Second, it's incorrect scientifically, Pettis said. There would be food left for humans because some food is wind-pollinated.

Flies polinate many times more than bees. I think it is 3 times as much. And no Virginia there are many more varieties than houseflies.

The article above says different:

"About one-third of the human diet comes from insect-pollinated plants and the honeybee is responsible for 80 percent of that pollination, according to the USDA."
"Nulla tenaci invia est via" - Latin for "For the tenacious, no road is impossible".

We are all doomed. I'm stocking up on food stuffs now! Storing away as many calories as I can, one can of beer at a time.
In the end we retain from our studies only that which we practically apply.

Bees do not pollinate tomatoes, so don't plan on them to do the job. Tomatoes stink; that's why bees go to other flowers.

you really don't need anything fancy to pollinate your tomatoes. A finger will work! Shaking will also work. Give the tomatoes a good shaking.

Invest in electric toothbrushes:

"Penn State uses the electric toothbrush:
The electric toothbrush vibrates at the same frequency as the wings of a bee that is shaking pollen out of these flowers,"
