I think it was about May 10, 2006 when the month of selling started, dropping over 100 S&P points.
Is this a repeat?
There is a big sentiment difference here at TT. (Are we getting smarter?) :D

Mark's Data:
fully long vs fully short
5/1/06 31.03% 10.34%
5/2/06 36.36% 9.09%
5/3/06 38.46% 15.38%
5/4/06 33.33% 14.81%
5/5/06 25.00% 16.67%
5/8/06 34.15% 14.63%
5/9/06 33.33% 4.17%
5/10/06 24.00% 12.00%
5/11/06 16.67% 12.50%

5/1/07 19.35% 29.03%
5/2/07 21.88% 18.75%
5/3/07 27.27% 21.21%
5/4/07 27.27% 27.27%
5/7/07 22.73% 27.27%
5/8/07 24.24% 33.33%
5/9/07 18.18% 30.30%
5/10/07 22.22% 33.33%
5/11/07 32.00% 32.00% (so far)

In 2006, I was watching the $VIX to see if it would touch the top BB and reverse.
It blew right thru it and kept me from buying!
What will it do from here? I'll be watching.

So What does Sentimentrader.com look like then and now?
Tonight's jump looks kinda like the jump preceding May 11th which was down 15 points, as was the following day, Friday.

Another perspective...
