Does anyone know the trading rules utilizing the IBD Method? Wish Charles was still posting? Thanks

I sent Charles a PM about a week ago. He will not be posting here or at " swing waves" any more he wrote back to me. He said to get O'Neils book "The Successful Investor" and to subscribe to the daily paper Investors Business Daily. That the method is fully explained in the book and the paper. I did both. A few hours of study and you can understand the system pretty well. But I sure wish Charles still posted here. A years subscription to the paper costs $298. I have been buying it on the newsstand for 2 weeks now & I think it is worth it. But still expensive. A lot better to just read Charles's posts and follow his trades posted here in real time. I think hundreds of lurkers here followed his posts and especially his trades. Posting them in real time the way he did there was no possibility of fakery. $298 times 200 lurkers here who got to following his system. $6000. I hope those short term traders here enraged by his results are happy. The 200 lurkers aren't. toni

I didn't know we could tabulate the lurkers....and wasn't aware there were short term traders that had a problem with Charles, I for one appreciated his comments. Different strokes for different folks I guess.....obviously if you can't trade with a system or TA of your own...and have to trade off of someone else, I can't argue that it's best to take the longer haul approach.

Yeh, too bad. I liked Charles. I'm pretty sure I understand why he does not post; There is more than one way to skin a cat.

toni, ease up on the "poor charles" stuff. If you will check the archives you will find pages of posts by tuffy88, the responses to which were hardly "enraged." He did make some fairly far out economic pronouncements and then got irrationally offended when many did not agree with him. As far as abusive private messages - I do not believe that, and you shouldn't either unless you see them. By the way, if you have the patience, you can review his posts and and figure out the system yourself. Guess what? You can also figure out what a distribution or accumulation day is (per IBD) from a chart. If you are looking to take entrances and exits from postings on an internet chat borad, you probably ought not to be trading.

No S*IT SHERLOCK!

I will say this, Tuffy's posts reinforced my thesis: "There's lot's of ways to do lot's of things."
I did enjoy his updates.
