As I said on Jul 2 2007:

The sentiment going into to today was almost EXACT to the May bottom.
The one difference now: overhead resistance.

Well we got through one layer of resistance. We'll see if it becomes support.
Sentiment today was almost exact to last Thursday July 5th which gave us an unchanged day.
Resistance, overbought and a jump in bulls Friday is on the bear's side today.
Earnings and of course, the moon's on bulls side.
WWW is on da_cheif's side.
Watch the red s/r lines.

Speak for yourself. You probably took off your training wheels too early.

Hi rodger

when does the next moon cycle end - or when would you expect there to be a turning point as far as moon cycles are concerned

The chart is on my blog.
Click on "BLOGS" above.
There's a lot of interesting posters there.

One study seemed to indicate that near the first quarter is a top and around the last quarter there is a low.
But don't trade off the moon unless you have a rabbit's foot in your left hand and squint with your right eye. LOL!

We find strong lunar cycle effects in stock returns. Specifically, returns in the 15 days around new moon dates are about double the returns in the 15 days around full moon dates. This pattern of returns is pervasive; we find it for all major U.S. stock indexes over the last 100 years and for nearly all major stock indexes of 24 other countries over the last 30 years. In contrast, we find no reliable or economically important evidence of lunar cycle effects in return volatility and volume of trading. Taken as a whole, this evidence is consistent with popular beliefs that lunar cycles affect human behavior.
