Since 1999, if you shorted the Qs when weekly RSI6 went over 80 and covered when it went below 70, these would be your results: Another winner to tag onto this system. Sometimes, the best systems are brain dead simple. OK, Now I see that particular signal was a 1.52 loss. I see now. Looks like 23K better than buy and hold.

Its not a loss.. its a gain. Just read it carefully and you will see that out of 10 trades made since 1999, it has only 1 losing trade.

Ofcourse the signal told you to exit at the end of yesterday.

If you short on 7/9: (07/09/07 49.90 Entry Date, Entry Price). Price was below 49 on 7/9. and cover on 7/23: (07/23/07 47.99 Exit Date Exit Price). Price was above 49 on 7/23. How does this work? What am I missing?

You obviously cover when the weekly signal told you to cover, which was end of friday, not the start of friday.

It is the WEEK of 7-23-07, not the date 7-23-07. The cover signal came last friday, 7-27-07

I never saw anything about a weekly signal. Sorry. I thought it was daily.
