Actually first target was 2603 the hourly high volume high... and we reversed off a lighter volume test... Right here you can see what is at stake... if 2579 gives way, the entire planet is going with it....

been looking at SP futures charts.. here's what it is: 1478-85 test...over 1495 - odds are high for 1530 and give it up on lower high... Hourly 5 day SPOOS.

12:25 Pretty much as expected here today. The 2603 hourly resistance was tested, but not the 2609 or 2632. I suspect we'll have some answers in the next 45-50 minutes... Volume is now projected to be over 2.5B, so we are pushing up to these targets on some strength. Overall far short of the volume necessary to say we should prepare for a reversal...

12:45 OK, the SOXX is sending us a message here.. it wants DOWN. SOXX may be foretelling a news item after the close... or it is simply giving us a heads "down" as to what is in store for us this afternoon...

We expect a "B to C" move to come on lighter volume and that's exactly what we are getting. And then to confirm the "C to D" move we need to see strong volume at the B point (today's low 2552). The interval for the A to B move was 180 pts... a .50 retracement would be a full 90 pts or 2642 area. If we had a .50 retracement however that would probably mark the end of the fast downtrend we are experiencing. We should not have more than 2 green candles in succession either or that cancels it as well...
