Half way there :) On a serious note, look where the volume accelerated in 1929, and what we have going on with the volume now.

Yahoo finance has all of Asia being down. Can anyone else confirm from a different source?

Even though its low odds, theres two good reason why monday can be "black". CME raised margin requirements on futures, and if you've ever been in a margin call, they start selling 2 days from the day you get called. That would be monday. Also, all those puts came into money with this decline, and someone's going to pay the piper unless there's an upward crash friday to make them worthless. As far as I can see, there was no panic selling today. It was on cruise control towards the magic 1380 and everyone and their brother bottom picked and went long. And ofcourse, as others have mentioned, Japan is tanking. There's still liquidity problems out there.
