Another example of zero intelligence tolerance.

:D

So since School Buses kill kids, what do we do now?

Each year approximately 5 school-aged children and 15 pedestrians—are killed in school bus–related deaths.
Approximately 5,500 school-age children and 500 school bus pedestrians are nonfatally injured in school bus accidents during normal school travel hours each year.

So here's a very deadly drawing and a week's suspension:

About 4 years ago our high school was refurbished, mainly to add a "performing arts center" and a "food court." The food court was like you see in many shopping centers, a large area which offered all kinds of fast foods - junk foods like Big Macs, pizza slices, etc., etc. The voters in the community voted for a bond to pay for this "upgrade" since, after all, we wouldn't want to deprive our children of what they have on any given Saturday. Now, 4 years later, the voters voted again, this time to tear down the high school and rebuild it from scratch. The school was about 20 years old, except of course for the new food pavilion and theater (excuse me, performing arts center).

Now there's a study going around as to whether school children are getting the right nutrition from school lunch programs and whether they should be offered a more restricted, less-caloric, more nutritious, etc. diet.

Sheesh. When I went to school you either brought your lunch or ate the one or two choices the school cafeteria offered. My generation grew up wearing a cap gun in a western holster. But we didn't have any Columbines. What in tarnation has this world come to?

Give kids every thing they could possibly want, make sure they know that any form of discipline is not allowed, let them dictate to parents what the priorities are, and yet suspend a kid for drawing a picture of a gun. Insanity. Is there any doubt what is wrong with this picture?
