I'm still betting with this guy.
I bought a little more today.

if i'm correct about the cycle straddle a nominal 5 wk low should arrive next week. it should be above the 8/06 low and yesterdays' low. if that plays out i'll be 100% long at that point for an intermediate hold, expecting new all time highs.

And my GDX call is working pretty good.
Although my call for a pullback to 38 did overshoot by 3 cents today. :D

There are no market cycles other than those that result from Fed monetary policy-- rate easing or tightening cycles. However, other credit pumpers and enablers like Japan, China and OPEC play increasingly more dominant role than the Fed.

I do like your GDX chart.

geez, all these years i wasted studying and applying Hurst. one question though, what about all those yrs before the fed existed? the same nominal cycles are in that price data too.

There was a man in our town who had the perfect plan
To do away with poverty and other ills of man,
But he feared the public jeering, and the folks who would defame him,
So he never told the plan he had, and I can hardly blame him.

Lot's of folks here go with that plan. :zipped:

I personally hope Aire doesn't feel punished at all. If so, I'm sending flowers. It's wonderful and appreciated stuff. Mark
