I suppose volume can give you some pretty good "whens" too

.

there's no intraday read available for sentiment... Not even close as a "when" tool. One of these days you will get it.

Semi, the difference between you and I is that I know a little bit about what you're talking about and you don't know diddly about what I'm talking about.

Ever stop to think about all the options data that's available all day long?

Buddy, that's sentiment. ;)

I'll be frank, though. I'd rather just go with the bigger picture sentiment and use my set ups and volume intra-day. I just find it easier. Others, however, are trading huge money on intra-day $-weighted P/C's and that's nothing but sentiment and very short term at that.

One day, you'll get it. ;)

Put/Call doesn't give you a target, it only gives you direction. And the timing is not precise. When I see a price/volume pivot tested, that gives me immediate information, not only as to direction, but a precise point at WHEN ... meaning AT WHAT PRICE... Then... when do you exit a position based on using put/call? Again no precision. Using price/volume pivot targeting, you know WHEN... based on price and volume at the projected target. In short, sentiment is about as good as being blindfolded and having the direction right. If you want to know STRATEGY, as in WHEN, WHAT PRICE... it's worthless.
