Sentiment is a funny thing.
Some very good professional traders are often overcome by their own sentiment.
These were statements made during the March and August declines:
"This leg down is not over -- Stay Alert." August 20th
"This is NOT how serious bottoms are made." March 2007

But could this guy be right, especially as inflation knocks down the "real" value of stocks?
"1374 will never again be seen in our lifetimes........mark this down." August 16th, 2007

I try to be aware of my own sentiment as it causes eye trouble.
Sentiment turns one's charts into mere optical illusions.

In the end, we are human and logic often loses to emotion.
And often logic is clouded by "news" and "funnymentals" as we begin to believe the sky IS falling.

It was the retest...

notice the perfect geometry of the sp500....waves A and C...were exactly the same 135 pts....give ur take a nano tik....snort....the B wave almost a perfect fibnoci 78.6 pts......the 75% retrace off the 2000 hi of 1574 to the 2002 low of 767.50 was 1372.37.....it was tested from above in march and slightly penetrated by a tic.....todays retest at 1374.50 and subequent hi volume reversal promises that 1374 will never again be seen in our lifetimes........mark this down..........

How about if this was the retest of the March low, perhaps no retest of the retest...

Youmast, even in 1987 they retested the crash low a few months later. do you expect the same to occur during the 4th quarter
