I think I heard about this last weekend on the Kim Komando show.

She was going to check if it really was legal.

Seems unlikely that you could get around the cable monopoly...legally.

Just to be clear, this is completely legal... Those are internet broadcast tv stations. You do NOT need to pay anything as long as you get the address of the broadcast station and point your media viewer to it. This guy just collected all the addresses and selling it to you is all, but anyone diligent enough can google it and get the same thing. Realize that real time streaming of HDTV is NOT PRACTICAL unless you have a really really fat pipe. Crappy ole regular TV is somewhat doable, but most internet tv stations are even below that in quality to save bandwidth. HDTV has come a long ways, and same with 1080p in general... but IMHO, it still has a while to go before joe sixpack can truly enjoy it the way its meant to. Meanwhile, enjoy the price drops on LCD screens.. they're dropping like rocks, making way for next gen LCD screens coming out early next year.

From the links above, it sounds like this particular offer may be questionable.
One blogger does refer to another site:

looks exactly like the tvunetworks.com player (which I have used.) The tvunetworks.com player is OK, but the channel selection is pretty limited with a lot of foreign language stuff and not much real programming. I like to watch the odd European sports on it. I suspect the fake www.satellitetvtopc.com site just sends you the free download version of the tvunetworks.com player and that only gives you a few channels. PS the registered address of the domain name is fake - that postal code does not exist in Canada.

This tvunetworks.com may be what Kim Komando was talking about.
She had tried it and found mostly foreign language stuff.

I understand that to fight the illegal showing of copywrighted material on some of the video sites, some of the network programs will soon be made available for a short time after the original program airs. They will include advertisements.

Ah the future. The possibilities.
