I really do not where you gentleman live, but here in Connecticut, huge democrat state, I do not see big request for help. Car dealers are empty ,most are used CARS, Walmart,Costco, Sams, Target, Home Depot or Lowes, Macy and a lot other are not as busy as before. And please do not say Grocery need help. If USA was the way you designed, we should LOOK AT THE SKY.

In my observation, stores are NOT as busy as before. But that is a different matter. The problem is stores & reaturants are having hard time finding workers. And may be it is because this is Florida. Unemployment benefits used to last 99 weeks. Could be more or less now. IDK. I saw the same thing at car dealer when I stopped by for oil change service. There was 1 lonely car in show room.

Nice very long term data, but why are prices lower during inflation for PPI and vice versa during deflation? I am confused.

Essentially it just shows that adjusted for inflation, stocks do very poorly during periods of inflation.
Which you already knew.
Was just a cool long term look at it.
Nominally, things have done much better, and it does appear that over the entire history, stocks do outpace PPI though all periods...at least up until now anyway, but we may be about due for sustained period of underperformance after the 10x 40 yr run from 1982.
