Clive Maund is correct. The hedge funds are net short, not the small specs. And yes, the hedge funds are usually wrong. They buy what the commercials (the smart money) are selling or vice versa as it is here.

GDX added over 9 million units last week, approx $200 million.
For the last three weeks, outstanding units expanded by more than 35 million, greater than 11%.
30 million units were redeemed on the run-up in January.

CRB up over 2 1/2 points today, if we ended a near term correction Friday of the 5 up from Feb 9 low then a daily 3rd wave could now be underway, muy interesting

It is conceivable that the low of this 2 day correction is in. We've seen a 42% retrace, which is the same % retrace as the drop from $1264 on 2/27/17 down to $1205 on 7/9/17. The only other clue I have for a low occurring here is today's positive HUI:gold divergence against gold. Comments welcome.

I trust Nada here but am l leaning that way, and yeah I just looked at the HUI/GOLD ratio minutes ago and that "might be" a helluva bullish coil, and the CRB chart looks possibly headed norte in 3 of 3, this is really critical action

Its been so sideways yet compressed, just "feels" like there is something big brewin here and could cut loose at any time and there is that 4-5 yr basing pattern, maybe I just got gas

nothing conclusive yet, but it is looking more and more promising . the low could have been seen last thursday
seems like every day there is more and more news supporting gold. after 20+years of deflation the pendulum is starting to swing the other way
slowly slowly adding.
