The REAL DEAL happened three years ago in Japan. Three nuclear reactors melted down and melted out of containment. No one knows where the fuel is located. One spent fuel pool (#4) had a fire and lost containment and cooling and spent fuel rods fused - and now the stability of reactors 5 and 6 are being questioned. Two explosions were considered hydrogen related but number 3 was a nuclear explosion. No one is talking about the status or considering the long term effects of low level radiation exposure, and at times high level exposure, across North America and ultimately the rest of the world. Fallout accumulations in the food chain. Tritium travels with the water cycle - rains out where it will - its in the water supply for a long time and Fukushima emits more and more air and water radiation each day - totally out of control because there is no solution. Iodine is still being detected in Japans sewer system - suggesting on-going criticalities. There has been a complete news black out on this situation because its real - There are more lies about this situation than the truth - and no one is publishing any test results - and you know they have been testing. If the results were good they would be published in every news paper in the world. By the time the MSM has to finally report on the situation - it will be too late for people to relocate - especially from the west coast. I truly don't understand the concerted effort to maintain media secrecy on this situation - other than it is so big and has no solution - just keep things steady as long as they can - when they can't any more - its over.

RogerDodger,

You sound like the media guys who dramatize things !

Ebola 'moving faster than efforts to control it.

The outbreak of the disease, the worst since it was discovered in the mid-1970s, has so far caused 729 deaths in four different countries.

Now how about some real epidemic !

http://en.wikipedia..../Bubonic_plague

The first recorded epidemic ravaged the Byzantine Empire during the sixth century, and was named the Plague of Justinian after emperor Justinian I, who was infected but survived through extensive treatment.[11][12] The epidemic is estimated to have killed approximately 50 million people in the Roman Empire alone.

In the Late Middle Ages (1340–1400) Europe experienced the most deadly disease outbreak in history when the Black Death, the infamous pandemic of bubonic plague, hit in 1347, killing a third of the human population.

The plague resurfaced for a third time in the mid-19th century. Like the two previous outbreaks, this one also originated in Eastern Asia.[21] The initial outbreak occurred in China's Yunnan province in 1855.[22] The disease remained localized in Southwest China for several years before spreading. In the city of Canton, beginning in March 1894, the disease killed 60,000 people in a few weeks. Daily water-traffic with the nearby city of Hong Kong rapidly spread the plague there, killing over 100,000 within two months.[23]

From China, the plague spread to the Indian subcontinent around 1896. Over the next thirty years, the India would lose 12.5 million people to the Bubonic plague.

It's all about perspective eh ?. We live in a world (especially the western world) where things are so secure, so under control, so systematic, so orderly that every small inconvenience is reported as disaster, every minor outbreak of disease is reported as epidemic, every small economic dips reported as depression. American media has got be the dumbest thing i have come across. Masses have lost both perspective and independent thinking. It's all about regurgitation of what the media says and brainwashes. I keep reading about the Kondraitieff winter and the depression America is in. Yet every time i go to Vegas i see bigger and taller casinos - the era of multi million properties is over. Welcome to the era of billion dollar properties. People sitting in front of their large screen TVs in their plush sofas, tablets, fancy cars, expensive vacations and talk about economic depression. You gotta be kidding me. We are dealing with a few generations of people which have not seen wars and dislocations, real epidemics, real economic depressions and suffering. In the absence of them, paranoia and conspiratorial thinking rule. When the real things hits, folks will be scrambling for survival !. You ain't seen anything yet !

I need to study it more I guess because I just don't see how one nuclear power plant could ruin the entire planet even worst case scenario. Its effect would be too diluted wouldn't it?

Do yourself a favor and get educated on nuclear power. Watch Pandora's Promise on Netflix. It will open your eyes. Only 50 people died after Chernobyl. Thousands have moved back to the area and are living there with no ill effects. Nuclear power is going to become a major source of electricity in the future. There is no way solar and wind can meet the power demands of emerging economies.

People think the Holy Grail is something looked for but never found. In fact, it is something often found but rarely recognized.

And how about Hiroshima & Nagasaki? Both cities are thriving, bright & beautiful,
and full of people and activity!

the long term effects of low level radiation exposure

It probably kills out EBOLA!

Recent reports highlighting increased cancer incidence and mortality among airline pilots and cabin crew have raised concerns about potential exposure of these workers to known or suspected carcinogens, in particular cosmic ionising radiation. Higher radiation dose rates are found at higher altitudes and in the polar regions, and mean doses to flight crew have been increasing over time as longer flights at higher altitudes have become more frequent. Other possible hazards that may play a role in cancer risk for flight crew include irregular working hours and disturbances of circadian rhythm.

But there are many other factors unique to this group:

Over 198,000 U.S. flight personnel work in commercial aircraft cabins with potential exposure to cosmic ionizing radiation, alterations of circadian rhythm from travel across time zones, cabin pollutants such as tobacco smoke and ozone, physical demands such as prolonged standing, and psychological demands such as job stress. Few studies have characterized air cabin exposures and health outcomes among U.S. flight crew.

Not to mention airline food.

I still say that our greatest daily danger is not ebola or radiation or terrorism but it is automobile accidents.
Especially today with everybody stoned while texting and driving with no insurance since they are illegal anyway.
I have my uninsured motorist insurance as high as possible.

Oh boy.

EBOLA TERROR AS PASSENGER DIES AT LONDON AIRPORT
Staff tell of fears as jet from Africa is quarantined after the death of passenger who was 'sweating and vomiting' before she collapsed
Tests were carried out to see IF the woman had the disease.

Airport staff tonight told of their fears of an Ebola outbreak after a passenger from Sierra Leone collapsed and died as she got off a plane at Gatwick.
Workers said they were terrified the virus could spread globally through the busy international hub from the West African country which is in the grip of the deadly epidemic.
The woman, said to be 72, became ill on the gangway after she left a Gambia Bird jet with 128 passengers on board.

The plane was quarantined as officials desperately tried to trace everyone who had been in contact with the woman.

Airport workers faced an anxious wait to see if the woman had Ebola. One said: “Everyone’s just petrified.

Nuclear power is the future and it is clean. :) By no means, this is a sarcastic message, the world energy usage will double in 20 years, either we will adapt with the safe power plants or go back to Stone Age...

Whether she had Ebola or not is irrelevant, but the only case involving a patient with Ebola was closed anyway...

Whether she had Ebola or not is irrelevant

The fear and panic is not irrelevant when crowd mentality kicks in.
