You're supposed to use your head for more than a hat rack!
I would suggest you to use your brain to think. If you have any. Ciao.

all 80 yr olds should go and cruise like you----no fear except fear itslef cruise and have fun no fear go go
If the 80 year old does 30 minutes on treadmill everyday, set 3 degrees up-slope and moving at 24 min/mile,
he can easily enjoy life like I am doing. Planning at least 2 cruises as soon as cruises open up.
It is wonderful to feel this athletic at 80....result of regular exercise starting at age 57. I have the money and health to enjoy whatever I enjoy. Most 80 year olds have not seen inside of a Gym in 25 years, so must hibernate in basements. The virus has no chance in my lungs with all that oxygen pumped in and out.

Some interesting data from FL Alachua county just came out about "Covid Deaths"
https://alachuachron...co-morbidities/
The cases with COVID-19 listed as the primary cause of death had an average of 4.6 contributory factors, and none had fewer than 3 contributory factors. This is a sample entry from the “Probable cause of death” field with 5 contributory factors: “COVID-19 pneumonia. Contributory factors: diabetes mellitus, hypertension, cerebrovascular disease, coronary artery disease, and dementia.”
This “Description of incident” from one of the fall patients (edited to remove some information that could identify the woman) is an example of a death that appears to be “with” COVID: The woman “suffered an unwitnessed fall on July 8… imaging studies showed subarachnoid hemorrhage and subdural hematoma… While in the hospital, [She] underwent routine testing for COVID-19 and was found to be positive on the same day, although she was asymptomatic… [She] remained asymptomatic and required no breathing treatments, nor did she display any respiratory distress… [She] was transferred into a COVID-19 bed at [hospice] on July 10… remained at the center until her death on July 12. Her medical history included anemia, dementia, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, hypothyroid, and multiple falls.”

Once again, protect the rights of the unborn over the rights of the mother.... Prelife matters.
BLM..... but All lives matter.......
......apart from refugee children locked in cages, children at school during mass shootings and people with 2 or more comorbidities who are gonna croak anyway.
frankly, I remain shocked at the dissonance and lack of empathy by some during preventable tragedies like Covid.
Some have skills here as excellent traders, but I would Strongly decline their medical opinions as I have two co morbidities, and wish to live just a little longer. If people are going to die anyway, why do we have doctors?
this tragedy affects us all.
If you have 2 comorbidities, follow example of my 66 year old wife with stage-4 cancer (lungs, brain, rib bones) who did not skip the cruise with me in Feb-March but instead is taking responsibility for her own survival, by never touching face with unwashed hands.
80 year old me is healthy as a race horse, and I also take responsibility for my own survival by never touching face with unwashed hands. If I get itchy eyes or nose, I use a clean tissue paper instead of my fingers.
The point you are missing sir, is that we do not wish you to croak any sooner than necessary. The whole point is shutting down the economy has caused more destruction of life and wealth than anything covid-19 can cause if every one behaved as responsible as we are. I do not expect my neighbors to protect me, or the bureaucrats in government to protect me. Because in reality neither can protect me. I protect myself. You can do the same.
Bingo.
Another point - if they really wanted to protect the population from the virus they would impose regular testing for it on the streets and other locations - and that would much better help to localize the danger (if there was any). By the way they do this now in German airports for the people arriving from other countries. And there are already some questions - why you did not do it at the beginning?

BREATHING is the main reason people catch the virus.
Those that do not breathe or stop breathing for at least 10 minutes are at zero risk of catching the virus.
Bon Voyage!

May not be true in every day living (about breathing as the main cause).
On a airplane flight yes because you are breathing recirculated air on long flights at 30,000' altitude.
There is not much air outside the plane at 30,000'.
Modern large Cruise ships are spacious. On a recent cruise on Oasis of the Seas ship, there was an areas called central park which had a thousand trees and bushes, and birds were living there permanently. The walk from our cabin to our dining room and back was half a mile on my pedometer. Except for the evening show in theater, we were never in a crowded area. The adults only area hot tub was 30 feet diameter and never was full. And water skiing on the ship, only 1 person at a time, was spacious. Same with the ride on the rope across the ship. The ship had a huge open area in the middle so outside cabins were also on the inside of ship. There were dozens of small cafe's and shops in that inside area besides the central park. You could sit there in the evening to take in a group of musicians playing Mozart music. We even had champagne breakfast at Tiffany's shop there shopping for jewelry. Considering the ship had 6000 passengers, it was the least crowded ship we have ever sailed on.

The rest of the story is the population density is low in Sweden. But feel free to not wear a mask where you live if you dont like them. It will all work out for the best.
Most actual studies say no, and Sweden (no masks) and Houston (many masks) case curves now starting look nearly identical suggests the same. It ain't the masks killing the curve.....the curve is going to expire when it expires regardless.
Spot on...and more importantly, Sweden (nor Japan or Belarus) didn't destroy their entire economies in taking this course of action.
You have been steadfastly on the correct side of this whole thing from the start...nice work, and thank you.
Substantive, unequivocal data on COVID-19, which was updated on July 17th, can be found at https://tinyurl.com/yy5pvfkf and included this quote:
"Due to its rather low lethality, Covid-19 falls at most into level 2 of the five-level pandemic plan developed by US health authorities. For this level, only the “voluntary isolation of sick people” is to be applied, while further measures such as face masks, school closings, distance rules, contact tracing, vaccinations and lockdowns of entire societies are not recommended."
Please, people, stop living in fear and listening to these treacherously uniformed talking heads on your preferred communication device...it just makes you nothing more than a willing and foolish political pawn who would easily give up your freedoms and liberties for what is described as being "for the greater good":

in taking this course of action
which course would that be?
Note that swedens economy is doing no better than norway with 10 x the mortality

Hahahaha Norway is mainly oil economy, which is basically rich output with little input. If Norway was not blessed with oil, it would be a fishing country. Comparing Sweden and Norway economies is worse example than comparing apples with oranges.
Is Saudi economy better than Italy? Not if you take oil out of the equation. It would be back to camels and dates.
