So, it sure looks like the old MMR vaccine confers a meaningful degree of immunity to covid-19, both by boosting immunity generally, and specifically to coronaviruses. It's also got 50 years of common and safe use. I like that risk-reward.

Huge RCT underway.

FWIW, after giving it quite a bit of thought, I'm getting this one today.

I assume you had this vaccine several years ago right? and it won't harm anything doing it again, it will just raise the antibody levels. Right?

It may help and is considered safe, but I hope you realize that these preliminary findings have not been confirmed nor has the efficacy been determined if it is preventative.

Seems quite the political post here given the times...that said, a flu shot would work just as well and would properly cost you nothing.

You actually bring up a valid point...why is it that the homeless seem to immune to this terrible virus?

A) they're outside all the time?

B) they're exposed to all kinds of viruses and likely have very ramped up immune systems.

I have seen no data on flu shot conferring any immunity to covid 19.

In many west coast cities, they are all outside...though in Los Angeles (as but one example), many have been placed in many downtown hotels since no one travels there anymore. One wonders why then, if we use the homeless as a study, why the rest of us have to be quarantined being that all the camps are in close proximity of each other...including the sharing of spoiled food and excrement.

in any event...viruses are part of being on this spinning ball in space. Because this, our so called “leaders” will always find a reason to keep us from our freedoms and liberties from this day forward...if we allow them to do just that. Viruses are also very easy to kill because of their molecular structure...you know...like washing your hands with warm water to help breakdown these same molecules...molecules so small that masks are a waste of time (just ask those in states where “cases” continue to climb in spite of the Draconian methods of containment).

BTW...if you’re over 65, even receiving your allowed pneumonia shots will also keep any introduced virus in check as they’re all RNA fat molecules...they’re not living life forms like bacteria.

Hey...has anyone noticed that this flu season is almost non existent...not good news for the over population folks.
