I am calling for a devastating crash in the US equity markets thru the end of this week.

I believe that the speech by Powell today was a crystal clear statement that he is going to put the US into a recession.

Of particular concern being the statement where he indicated that he would over shoot on the rate increases and then pull back as needed.

thats the straw that breaks the Camels back ........

Relax. No crash possible this week. Election is next  week on Tuesday.

If "past is prologue"...

Soup Lines coming?  Late rent payments? Beginning foreclosures on all these new loans on jacked up valuations?

How many homes did the 2007 Las Vegas Showgirls own before the last collapse?

This looks very bad for the future...

“Everything is going up. Gas, food, rent, everything,” said Gladis Blanco, a housekeeper at the Bellagio. “But not our wages. It’s getting better for businesses but not for us: we are still struggling.”  There is growing speculation that the housing market could crash in 2022. High interest rates coupled with the cost of living crisis has seen households squeezed as they try to afford rising energy, fuel costs and now mortgage payments.Sep 28, 2022

Consumer Sentiment looks like a low ...until you look at 2007-2008.

Of course the crash is coming. What else can we expect after partying for many years on zero interest rates?

But not this week as the original poster of this thread promulgated. Stock futures are already green for tomorrow.

And no crash on Friday either. I am much more worried about 2023. The double whammy of  high inflation and high interest rates will cause serious problems for many.

Nah. This is and will be a grinding bear with bull swings. We have along ways to go the downside but, it won't be a crash.

There will be no crash. Another leg down is possible, but nothing crazy is going to happen.

So no one here believes Apple could possibly "crash" from this position and take the market with it?

See if bulls can regain 145 today or not, because if not.....

Depends on definition of crash.
Double digit drop in one day's trading is my definition.
Neither Apple or market is ready for such crash.
Unless Russia deploys nukes in Ukraine.

Yup chill and pdx got it right, grind away until next year where there is the possibility we see 24-25 on the SP500 sometime and I don't see new highs for a few years especially if interest rates remain high.
