Consensus bulls are, well, quite bullish. Current reading is 79. Hasn't been 80 or above in 20 yrs!
Been keeping data since 1987. Been 79 or more only 6 other times. https://t.co/cqTQk7BemB

HUGE BEARISH POLL! TOO BEARISH...

The results are in and folks lean bearish once again. Three of the last four weeks have been voted 'down' and the market is mostly flat in that time.
So maybe we're not getting -100 but directionally you guys have been correct.
Thanks for voting! https://t.co/75nH9B7oqJ

This is a good thread, another one:

Correct. The "credit" for the drop in the inflation rate belongs to planet earth, which went through a warming period from 2018-20. CPI matches the footsteps of temperatures, with a ~3-year lag.
Up next: the echo of a cooling phase, which will bring rising prices in 2024. https://t.co/4DSBmxVt1P

My piece in tomorrows Wall Street Journal questions the Feds model for fighting inflation. Fed officials like to say weve made progress toward their 2% inflation targetbut would be hard put to explain why inflation has come down as a result of the Feds restrictive rates.

Was worried that going into the weekend in cash was going to be bad but had a feeling that the hopeful bulls would come out to ramp the market up and of course they have even though bonds have barely moved down off that 4.30% level.  So it looks like we'll see another opening gap on the upside so we'll see how it goes after the cash market is open, still have so many below that need to be filled.  Average short going in is 5213 on the ES and 18211 on the ndx and am adding to my sold options for this April expiration cycle which I am anticipating is going to be quite volatile in the end....
