Aire, Aren't you somewhat concerned that the NYSE broke its 20wk fld? Fortunately, we're not far from the target after today. Also, VLA broke it's 10wk fld and is projecting quite a bit lower, even though as you point out, we're just breaking the 20wk fld now. Finally, I worry about the cyclical timing during these pain in the @ss cycle straddles. You know, the 2% of the time. Echo

echo, NYSE 20 wk projection downside does not break the 40 wk fld, same scenario as SPX and INDU. should the 40 wk flds break, that would be from an overshoot of the 20 wk fld and would indicate trend above the 20 wk cycle is now down, vs the high right translation the cycle shows now. that of course would strengthen the bear case into the 4.5 yr low. V Line 5 and 10 wk flds were close enuf to suggest pause zone rather than cascade. yes, cycle straddles are ball busters. tough to time the rebound.

echo, i see pete eliades, who uses hurst fld lines (and should use more of his total method) has commented on the 20 wk projections...
"Our most reliable projection generator, the New York Composite
Index, is also the least familiar index to most investors. That
Index closed today at 8,957.97 and a nominal 20 week downside
projection was generated to between 8750-8818, implying additional
risk of 1.6-2.3% on an intraday basis from today's close.
The S&P 500 generated an equivalent projection to between
1374-1392 on an intraday basis and this week's low of 1,380.87
has already satisfied that projection. Finally, the Dow projection
calls for an intraday low between 11,950-12,094. Theoretically,
that projection has also been satisfied with this week's low of
12,059.54. It appears as if both the Dow and the S&P projections
have been satisfied but allow for lower lows between 1-1.5%
lower than today's close. Of course, anything can happen in
markets, but these projections tend to suggest there should be
little fear of a follow-through crash next week
."
